Sure I love it, and it’s been a great week.
On Saturday a fantastic all day workshop with the friendly, funny and talented JuditSingers and Whilton Warblers. Lots of lovely singing and good exploratory discussions about vocal technique – check the JuditSingers out here – if you’re in the Northampton Area get in touch with them.
Monday night before that I had the privilege of giving a bit of coaching to Just Voices, based in Bromley. They, with director Cathy, are working extremely hard and sounding fantastic ready for this year’s Choir of the Year competition. They are also part of a concert raising money for Biggin Hill Airport – to preserve it as a museum (it was a hugely important facility during WW2). If you’re in and around SE London – check this out.
Finally, In the Smoke won the Voice Festival UK‘s Community Competition for the 3rd time. I was flying back from honeymoon at the time so didn’t take part but was thrilled to hear updates as they took Outstanding Musicality, Outstanding Soloist, Highly Commended Soloist and Overall winners – oh, and I won the arranging award!
